The Setting:

We stay at Northwaters, a premier wilderness center, located on a picturesque island at the center of Lake Temagami. It is a place of incredible beauty where the call of the loon echoes over the water and evening skies are lit by northern lights. The facility has two gently sloping sand beaches and colorful meadows that bloom with Indian paintbrush, daisies and lupine during most of the summer. We sleep in comfortable cabins that have electricity. The dining hall, large and rustic, will keep you well fed with nourishing and nutritious meals. We even have an outside brick oven, used for baking homemade bread and pizza.

The Facilitators:

David is a sought-after consultant and author in personal and organizational change principles. His work projects have included conflict mediation in Belfast, Northern Ireland, facilitating President Clinton's "Summit for America's Future" and post-conflict change in Bosnia. David holds a doctorate in organizational psychology and a second in divinity. His clients include Fortune 50 companies, non-profits and Nobel Prize winning organizations. He teaches at The University of Pennsylvania, The University of Western Ontario and Cambridge University.

Kathy is a psychotherapist and consultant in private practice. She earned her M.Ed. in counseling psychology. She has extensive training in a variety of therapeutic interventions. Kathy is often sought after as a therapist and group facilitator because of her ability to blend traditional clinical practice with creativity, myth, story, and indigenous wisdom. She has organized and delivered workshops on personal development and creativity in Canada and the USA for the past 22 years.

The Program:

The week is carefully balanced between current approaches and global cross-cultural practices (such as a sweat lodge). The program is designed to cultivate intuition, awareness and creativity--key skills needed for a richer life. We blend experiential learning, traditional spiritual practices, and rich conversation. There is ample time for recreation, rest and being in nature.

Registration & Fees:

Fee for the workshop is $1995. Cost includes transportation to and from the island, all meals and taxes. Payment by cheque or Visa or MasterCard, is handled by Northwaters. We urge you to register early to assure a place, since space is limited.
